Shopping Haul

Hi Guys!

I’ve done a little shopping recently and thought I’d share with you what I’ve been buying…..

I went to London’s Oxford Street last week and I started off in Primark near Marble Arch Station as I always do. My strategy is, I can buy all the cheapest items in Primark and as I venture down the rest of Oxford Street towards Oxford Circus Station I can buy more expensive items knowing that there isn’t a cheaper alternative in Primark (and if there is – I’ve already brought it!)

I normally buy at least one clothing item from Primark, but for the first time in ages I only brought accessories from there this time.

The first thing I picked up is a pair of gold sandals with diamante straps. These were a fabulous £4.00!! They are very comfortable and my main reason for wanting these was because I can wear them with my Indian outfits. I’ve been wanting sparkly flat shoes that I can wear with those outfits and these are perfect (especially for events where I know I’ll be on my feet a lot).

Next up, I brought a PS Makeup Remover Cloth. I’ve brought one of these from Selfridges before (Makeup Eraser Cloth) and got a smaller version in a Birchbox and honestly this one from Primark feels exactly the same but only cost £1.50 (the one from Selfridges was probably closer to £10.00!). I love these makeup remover cloths, they work brilliantly and feel great on the skin so I’m glad Primark have started selling these.

In the same section I also picked up a Silicone Sponge, the alternative to the very popular sponge beauty blenders. These are designed to apply your makeup but without soaking up any of the makeup (and easier to clean). The price on the box is labelled at £2.00 but I’ve just spotted on my receipt that it was actually only 50p!

On the topic of cleaning beauty products, I also brought this cute lips brush cleaner at £1.50. I’m not the best at cleaning my brushes as regularly as I should so hopefully this will make that process a lot easier and I’ll actually clean my brushes more often!

The final thing I brought from Primark were these Nail Soakers. You simply pour nail polish remover into each nail soaker and then push your fingertip through the silicone for them to soak in the remover. I’m really looking forward to trying these and the set of 10 only cost £2.00.

Next, I went into Selfridges (a vast difference from Primark!). I love browsing the makeup area in there, the options are endless but it does get very busy in there and sometimes difficult to get to the makeup counter and for that reason I didn’t buy much from there but did walk away with the Urban Decay Quick Fix Spray – this was £10.00 for 30ml. I haven’t used this before so want to try it out first which is why I’ve brought a smaller version at a lower price to begin with.

As I walked further down Oxford Street I went into Debenhams and there was one thing that I knew I wanted and headed straight for it – DKNY Be Delicious
Eau de Parfum Spray. I smelt it on someone else recently and loved it so much I wanted to buy some for myself. This was £55.00 for 50ml.

My final purchases same from Dorothy Perkins and (like with Primark) I came out with all accessories! First up, I naturally ventured towards the rose gold items (if it’s rose gold, I want it!). The first thing I picked up were these simple rose gold hoop ear rings. They are very simple and will be very easy to wear and cost £6.50.

The next rose gold item was this necklace which is a small hoop in the centre of a thin chain. It’s a small chain so the necklace sits high up almost like a choker but the adjustable hoops can also allow for it to sit a little lower. This was on sale at £2.00 (down from £6.50).

The last thing from Dorothy Perkins was a pair of silver hoop ear rings. These have a twist like effect on the hoops and, like the rose gold hoops, these will be really easy and lightweight to wear. My worry with larger ear rings is that they will feel heavy but these are nice and light.

The last thing that I’ve brought (though this wasn’t from Oxford Street) is The White Company’s Seychelle Pot Pourri. I absolutely love the Seychelle range from The White Company (I think I’ve only tried one product that I didn’t like – the bath wash which was too harsh on my skin) – it smells divine and I adore it! So I jumped at the pot pourri when I saw it was on offer from £20.00 down to £14.00. It’s a good sized bag and it smells amazing.
