I was very excited when I heard this months Birchbox was going to be handpicked from the Vogue 100 Beauty Hall of Fame. I knew instantly we’d have some fabulous treats and as expected they’ve put together a fantastic box of beauty treats.
Firstly, the box is pink with Vogue and the Birchbox brand in gold. Vogue is also printed in a deeper pink all over the box.
The first product, which Birchbox gave their subscribers a sneak peek of prior to releasing the box, is the Benefit Hoola bronzer. This bronzer is matte with no shimmer or shine to create a healthy and natural glow without the telltale shimmer, which I really like the sound of as some bronzers can look a little too sparkly and obvious. I’ve heard some really great things about this bronzer and can’t wait to try it out!
The next product caught my eye straight away, it’s the Clarins Hand and Nail treatment cream. I’m a fan of Clarins products and so my heart leapt when I saw the Clarins name and their classic branding in the box. Dry hands is a real pain for me and highly irritating, so I’ll be keeping this 30ml tube in my bag with me at all times!
Next up we have a bottle of Seche Vite’s Dry Fast Top Coat. It’s a fast drying top coat (as the name suggests!) which penetrates through the polish to create a glossy seal to keep the polish intact. I love having painted nails and often do them myself at home as nail parlours can be quite pricey so this product is right up my street!
This next product sounds like a miracle product for dry hair (which I’m in dire need of right now). It’s the Percy & Reed, Smoothed, Sealed & Sensational Volumising No Oil Oil. It nourishes, strengthens and protects hair from heat styling. It’s very simple to use; 1-2 (maybe a bit more if you have long hair) needs to be worked through towel dried hair. The violet extract provides the sleek shine and the secret ingredient to strengthen and nourish is the ProVitamin B5. I love using these types of hair oils (and need to use more regularly) so I’m definitely looking forward to trying this out!
Finally, the Birchbox exclusive is Birchbox’s very own Brush Cleaner, designed with grooves to help remove every trace of products from your brushes. Needless to say keeping your brushes clean is important to ensure you’re not swiping bacteria filled grime across your face everytime you apply your foundation or work that bronzer or blush into your skin, so this cute little tool is a must have for all beauty lovers!
I have to say this months Birchbox really does have some super products in it, I can’t wait to start using them! Well done to the team at Vogue to picking some fab essentials! A fantastic collaboration which was destined to be a winner…and it is!
I love these Birchbox’s and have found some super products in them, let me know if you’d like me to do a full review on any of the beauty products.
