I See You by Clare Mackintosh

Hi Guys!

I was recommended I See You by Clare Mackintosh by a work colleague when I mentioned that I love psychological thriller books and I thought I’d do a quick review of it….

Imagine seeing a picture of yourself advertised in the newspaper with no explanation as to why it’s there? You’d want to figure it out right!? Which is exactly what Zoe Walker sets out to do. Is she linked to the other women that also appear in the advert in the following days? Is it a joke? A mistake? Or is she in danger?

Her imagination runs wild and she has her suspicions. What will become of these adverts?

Turns out the adverts are linked to a website selling the commuting details of women all over London – it’s like a twisted dating site.

This book is a gripping page turner from the get go. I really enjoyed reading it and didn’t want to put the book down!

Clare Mackintosh develops each main character brilliantly making them relatable and throws in various other characters and scenario’s making the reader suspicious and question everyone in Zoe’s life.

In fact it’s the relatable concept of the book that can also put you, as the reader, on edge; questioning your own commute and daily schedule! The idea that the story could happen to you is rather unsettling!

I See You is very well written, fast paced, has a great plot line and completely unexpected twist at the end! It’s filled with suspense and is a brilliant easy to read book. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves a good psychological suspense/thriller.
