I’ve been using L’Oréal’s Mega Volume Miss Baby Roll mascara and Volume Million Lashes fatale mascara recently and wanted to do a review of them both for you.
I’ll start with the Mega Volume Miss Baby Roll mascara. This is priced at a decent £7.99 (but you can also find it in Boot’s 3 for 2 offer as I did, while their offer is available).
First of all, I really love the packaging of this mascara. It’s super cute with the baby pink and baby teal colours and is very suiting to the cutesy name of the mascara.
The bristles spiral around the wand and it’s very easy to get a good coat of mascara on every lash.
The end result is good, it definitely lifts the lashes and separates them while adding length and curl. It’s a little too ‘spidery-lashes’ for me, but if that’s the look you like on your lashes it’s worth giving this a go. I’ve heard some people say that they found this to be too clumpy, which I didn’t get at all when I used it. In fact it’s probably the least clumpy mascara’s I’ve tried.
Next up is the Volume Million Lashes fatale. This is slightly more expensive at £10.99 (also as part of the offer, but being the more expensive of my purchases I paid for this)
Again, I love the packaging. The purple and gold work so well together. This (and the Miss Baby Roll) look more expensive than they are as they are so well packaged – which also makes them really good fun to photograph!
The bristles are perfect and spaced just right to separate the lashes. There’s absolutely no clumpy mascara that comes out of the tube – just a nice even amount across the wand which effortlessly applies to the lashes.
I absolutely love this mascara. I love layering the mascara to make my already long lashes dramatic and fully volumised and this mascara is perfect for that. I love how I can keep building without it becoming too clumpy (it clumps just the right amount) and it separates my lashes so well. It doesn’t curl the lashes as the Baby Roll does, but that’s nothing a pair of eyelash curlers can’t fix!
This has been my go-to mascara since I brought it a couple of weeks ago.
It’s a very good product and will be a definite repurchase.
Overall, these are both good mascara’s but the Volume Million Lashes fatale is my favourite and a clear winner between the two.
Let me know in the comments below if you’ve tried either mascara and what you thought of them.
